Long Acre House pairs a 520m² seamless terrazzo floor with a hand-crafted staircase, wrapping both in a single continuous material language from the ground floor through to the pool room.

The installers used SIBEXTREME AG STYLE throughout the ground floor, polished to a high-gloss finish for a surface that reads as one continuous plane rather than a series of separate rooms. Quartz, glass and mirror glass in the mix design give the terrazzo depth and sparkle without breaking the uniformity of colour and pattern.

The staircase became the project’s focal point. Hand-crafted in-situ with SIBECO TERRAZZO, the team wrapped upstands and landings seamlessly and mirrored the floor design so the staircase reads as a continuation of the ground floor rather than a separate element. Every bull nose was formed by hand on site.

Nothing was left to standard detailing. Floor boxes, sliding door thresholds, corners and the stairs leading down to the swimming pool room were all worked into the design, so the finish holds its uniformity right through to the smallest junctions.
