FCA Pavimentos installed SIBKORUND A3 in natural colour across 11,000 m² at GWP’s warehouse facility in Vila Nova da Barquinha, Portugal.
GWP is one of Europe’s leading suppliers of wood and wood-based products, specialising in sustainable tropical timber. Storage and handling at this scale places continuous load on the floor, from forklift traffic to stacked pallets of dense hardwood.
The slab was specified as C25/30 at 180 mm, reinforced with Kaparex metallic fibres 60/90 and detailed with Alpha construction joints, finished to level 2 tolerance for high-precision flat surfaces. SIBKORUND A3 was applied as a dry shake hardener: calibrated quartz, basalt and corundum aggregates worked into the fresh concrete to form an anti-wear layer that reduces dust and resists impact and wear.
