Creating flooring for one of the world’s most prestigious luxury brands required exceptional aesthetic impact and uncompromising durability. The Chanel boutique at Bodrum’s exclusive Mandarin Oriental Hotel needed seamless indoor-outdoor continuity that could withstand Turkey’s intense Mediterranean climate whilst delivering on expectations for a high-end retail environment.

The Solution

Custom Design Excellence The installation features a stunning Scarpa-inspired geometric pattern created with over 49,000 individual stone pieces, each meticulously placed by hand. This intricate design showcases SIBECO TERRAZZO’s unlimited customisation capabilities whilst creating a unique surface that perfectly complements Chanel’s sophisticated aesthetic.

Seamless Performance The entire installation was completed without visible joints, creating continuous surfaces across challenging indoor-outdoor transitions. SIBECO TERRAZZO’s technical specifications proved ideal:

40 MPa compressive strength for retail environments
pH 3-14 chemical resistance for cleaning protocols and coastal exposure
Excellent UV stability for Mediterranean sun exposure
Weather resistance for outdoor terrace areas
