Meet The SIB Awards 2026 Jury

Four perspectives. One shared goal: recognising the best work from across our partner network.

Mário Mota — Technical Director
– Nearly 30 years in the industry, 18 with SIB. Mário evaluated quality of application, product selection and technical difficulty. If it was hard to do well, he knew.

Ricardo Barreiro — Technical Support & R&D
– Over 20 years of experience, 17 with SIB. Ricardo brought the same lens — execution, product knowledge and technical complexity — with a research perspective on how materials perform in the field.

Francisco Ruivo — Marketing Director
– Francisco assessed project photography and how effectively each submission told its story. “Not much experience,” he says — though his family founded SIB over 50 years ago, so we’ll let the jury decide that one!

Rui Jorge Santos — Architect, Archigreen
– Bringing an independent architectural perspective, with a professional focus on sustainable design and minimising environmental impact. Rui assessed each project for design quality, spatial integration and innovation.
