SIBDEKODUR Adds Modern Elegance to Historic Portuguese Pastry Shop
In the heart of Leiria, Portugal, Pastelaria Haiti has been delighting customers with their renowned Bolo Rei and Bolo Rainha (King and Queen cakes) since 1975. This family-owned coffee shop, famous for their traditional Portuguese cakes and much more, recently underwent a thoughtful renovation to honour their heritage while embracing contemporary design.
SIBDEKODUR played a key role in this transformation, bringing its distinctive terrazzo aesthetic to the shop’s countertops and table surfaces. This innovative precast product offers the perfect blend of artisanal beauty and practical durability, essential for a busy pastry shop that has served generations of customers.
The installation showcases SIBDEKODUR’s versatility in custom furniture applications. Like all SIB products, SIBDEKODUR can be customised in colours, aggregates, shapes, and textures, allowing it to complement floors created with SIBEXTREME AG STYLE and SIBECO TERRAZZO. Each piece is precisely crafted off-site and cut to measure, ensuring perfect fit and finish in the final installation. Kubo Mineral have done an amazing job here.
