Kuwait International Airport Terminal 2: the final stretch
Terminal 2 is moving from construction towards operational readiness. With Foster + Partners’ trefoil canopy complete and fit-out well advanced, attention is turning to how the terminal will run once it opens. Kuwait’s Central Agency for Public Tenders has now opened bids for the operation and maintenance of the new terminal.
SIBEXTREME AG STYLE has been specified across 250,000 m² of the terminal, covering the main entrance hub, central atrium and boarding areas. A joint-free, custom terrazzo, it is designed to perform in a terminal built for 25 million passengers a year, with capacity to grow to 50 million.
We look forward to sharing the finished terminal when it opens.
SIBEXTREME AG STYLE contributes towards satisfying LEED’s Low-Emitting Materials credit · EPD available (SIBEXTREME range) · EC1Plus EMICODE® certified (very low emission).
Our thanks to Limak Construction for installing SIBEXTREME AG STYLE across the terminal, and to Foster + Partners for the opportunity to contribute to a landmark project.
